Position SummaryThe Program Manager role as part of the Girl
Scouts - Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC) Girl Program Team
works with staff, girls, and volunteers to ensure the Program
Team's portfolio delivers opportunities that are meaningful for
girls and valued by troop leaders and families. The selected
candidate will be part of a high functioning, fast paced team that
works collaboratively both together and in partnership with other
organizational teams. The goal of the Girl Program Team is to
support GSACPC member retention and the Girl Scouting movement.
Reports to: Senior Girl Program Manager FLSA Status: Regular,
full-time, exempt Essential Functions: The GSACPC Girl Program
portfolio is made up of three primary containers:
- Community and Program Partners
- Girl Scout Signature Programs and Events
- Girl and Adult Volunteer CommitteesPrimary
responsibilities:
- Shared management of the GSACPC Girl Program Portfolio and
strategies. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Administrative tasks and scheduling management.
- Meeting the needs of GSACPC membership, as well as balancing
the needs of both community and program partner organizations.
- Providing timely responses and guidance around program design
and delivery.
- Communicating effectively both with the Girl Program Team and
necessary cross-functional teams.
- Shared management of the GSACPC Girl Program Portfolio
outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Community and Program Partners.
- Girl Scout signature programs and events.
- Girl Scout girl and adult Volunteer teams and committee
support.
- Support for Service Unit events and programs in
cross-functional partnership.
- Representing the GSACPC organization and practicing excellent
relationship management skills with, and not limited to:
- Girl and adult volunteers
- Local and national community and program partners.
- Funding, grant, and sponsorship partners.
- Organizational-wide partners including: GSACPC internal teams,
other council teams, and GSUSA. Required Education and
Experience:Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the core competencies,
core values and beliefs of the organization.
- Commitment to the aims and purposes of the Girl Scout movement,
including the belief in the importance of the volunteer
organization in our society.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
including adults and girls.
- Ability to manage a multi-project workload and to exercise
initiative.
- Functioning as an effective team leader/member is
essential.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills,
including correct spelling and grammar usage and proofreading
capabilities.
- Experience leading volunteers and youth.
- Skilled at project management.
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with budget management.
- Maintain a growth mindset.
- Available to work a variety of hours including evenings,
weekends, and overnights, as necessary.
- Join and maintain formal membership in the Girl Scouts of the
U.S.A.
- Skilled and experienced with Windows, Microsoft software
(Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), and using web-based
applications.
- Valid AZ driver's license, insurance, and access to a reliable
transportation.
- Willingness to take responsibility for self-directed learning
and participate in staff development opportunities when
offered.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the Girl Scout program.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior knowledge and experience with the Girl Scout
program.
- Prior knowledge of curriculum and program design.
- Technological experience with: Learning Management System(s)
(LMS), gamefication, Salesforce, and Smartsheet.
- Prior knowledge of assessment and evaluations, including
designing and understanding outcome achievement.
- Prior experience with the management of grant outcomes and
deliverables.
- Prior experience with event planning.
- Bi/multi-lingual Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Physical mobility to work in a variety of terrains (inclines,
declines, rugged ground) and a variety of altitudes.
- Ability to engage and participate with girls in recreational
activities.
- Ability to travel long distances by car, bus or plane.
Compensation details: 52000-54000 Yearly Salary
